INTRODUCTION

When the Covid 19 induced pandemic was ravaging Indian economy, agriculture sector was the odd one out because this sector was growing at the rate of 3.5 %. This story may give an impression that everything is perfect in Indian agriculture sector but that is not a true thing. Indian agriculture sector and farmers both are suffering due to various structural problems related to production , post harvest management transportation marketing and so on. This in many ways has impacted the rural society by creating a distress like situation where farmers are committing suicides to scape there distressful situation.

Indian parliament in this context has came up with some legal refoms which can eliminate major bottleneck from the agriculture sector. These refoms includes Act to bring refoms in areas of marketing of agriculture produces, new contracts law and certain statutory changes in government food stock policy.
